A Ministry of the RPCNA
Our Mission
As a ministry of the RPCNA, we seek to minister to individuals, families, caregivers, and congregations within the denomination that have been impacted by disability by the following
1. Promote ministry to, and by, the disabled.
2. Provide counsel to families, deacons, and elders.
3. Share knowledge of available resources, educational materials and potential support systems.
4. Provide financial support in the form of seed money for the renovation of church buildings and help with attendance at denominational family camps.

What We Do

In 1986, the Synod of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA) established the Disabilities Ministry Committee to support individuals, families congregations, elders, and deacon boards of the RPCNA around the country who face disabilities of various natures.

The Bible teaches that God created all people in His own image, irrespective of their mental, physical, social, or economic condition. Therefore, each individual life is a gift from God and must be valued without regard to mental or physical abilities or social or economic status.

The RPCNA Disabilities Ministry Committee is a group of volunteers with diverse experiences and interests who seek to utilize all of the appropriate resources of the RPCNA and various government and social agencies in a manner that will best meet the needs of those with disabilities, their caregivers and the local congregations.

- Provide financial assistance related to:
a. Local church building rennovations needed to make facilities accessible to the disabled.
b. Attendance at RPCNA summer family camps.
c. Attendance at RP International Conference (every four years). - Encourage local congregational members to express their gifts in the context of ministry to the disabled and their caregivers, such as Friendship Bible Studies.
- Encourage the disabled to utilize their unique gifts within the fellowship of their local congregation and community.
